By accessing and using the services of Gati Packers and Movers ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Services
Gati Packers and Movers provides packing, moving, and related relocation services. Our services include but are not limited to:
- Home and office relocation
- Packing and unpacking services
- Vehicle transportation
- Warehousing and storage
- Local and long-distance moving
Booking and Quotes
All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary based on actual conditions, including but not limited to:
- Actual volume and weight of items
- Access conditions at pickup and delivery locations
- Special handling requirements
- Additional services requested
A confirmed booking requires:
- Written or verbal confirmation from both parties
- Payment of any required deposit
- Agreement on moving date and conditions
Payment Terms
- Payment is due as specified in your service agreement
- We accept cash, bank transfer, and digital payments
- Deposits are non-refundable except as required by law
- Final payment must be made before or upon delivery of goods
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made in writing or via phone
- Cancellations made 48 hours before scheduled move: Full refund of deposit
- Cancellations made 24-48 hours before: 50% deposit refund
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before: No refund
Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about items to be moved
- Ensure all items are legally owned and can be transported
- Declare any hazardous, illegal, or prohibited items
- Be present or have an authorized representative during pickup and delivery
- Provide clear access to both pickup and delivery locations
- Inform us of any special requirements or restrictions
Prohibited Items
We cannot transport:
- Hazardous materials (explosives, flammable items, chemicals)
- Illegal substances or items
- Perishable foods
- Live plants or animals
- Currency, jewelry, or other high-value items (unless specially arranged)
- Personal documents (passports, certificates) - should be carried personally
Liability and Insurance
We take utmost care in handling your belongings. However:
- Standard liability coverage is included in our service
- Additional insurance can be purchased for high-value items
- Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery
- We are not liable for damages resulting from improper packing by customers
- Force majeure events are beyond our control
Claims Process
To file a claim:
- Report damage or loss within 7 days of delivery
- Provide photographic evidence if possible
- Submit a written claim with details
- Claims will be processed within 30 days
Delays
While we strive for punctual service, we are not liable for delays caused by:
- Weather conditions
- Traffic or road conditions
- Vehicle breakdowns
- Government restrictions
- Acts of God
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided or the actual loss incurred, whichever is less, unless additional insurance has been purchased.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between parties
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Jurisdiction of Agra, Uttar Pradesh courts
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
